C.A.R.E Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement

Parenting young children can be wonderful, exhausting, joyful, and overwhelming — sometimes all in the same day.

Maybe your child has big emotions.
Maybe you’re tired of repeating the same directions over and over.
Maybe you love your child deeply but still find yourself reacting in ways you wish you didn’t.

You’re not alone.

This weekend workshop is designed for parents of children ages 2–10 who want practical tools that actually help — tools that strengthen connection while reducing everyday struggles at home.

Rooted in the CARE model (Child–Adult Relationship Enhancement) and informed by Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), this workshop teaches simple, powerful skills many parents wish they had learned years earlier.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP IS ABOUT

The relationship between a parent and child is one of the most powerful forces in a child’s life.

When that relationship feels strained — when days are full of correction, conflict, or frustration — both parents and children feel it.

The CARE Workshop helps parents shift that pattern.

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll learn small but powerful ways to strengthen connection, encourage positive behavior, and respond to difficult moments with greater calm and confidence.

These are not complicated parenting theories.

They are practical skills you can begin using right away at home.

Parenting Young Children Can Feel Hard Sometimes

Many parents quietly struggle with things like:

• constant power struggles
• tantrums or emotional meltdowns
• a child who seems to ignore directions
• feeling like you’re always correcting or reacting
• ending the day feeling drained or discouraged

Even in loving families, these patterns can appear.

Most parents were never taught how to respond in these moments in ways that strengthen the relationship and guide behavior at the same time.

That’s exactly what this workshop helps with.

WHY MANY PARENTS COME

What You’ll Learn:

Build stronger connection with your child
Children cooperate more when they feel safe and connected. You’ll learn simple ways to create more positive moments together every day.

Use the PRIDE skills
These core CARE skills help strengthen the parent-child relationship and encourage positive behavior.

Reduce everyday power struggles
Small shifts in how we respond can lower conflict and increase cooperation.

Support your child through big emotions
Instead of feeling stuck during meltdowns, you’ll gain tools to respond with steadiness and confidence.

Encourage the behaviors you want to see more of
You’ll learn how attention, praise, and play can shape behavior in powerful ways.

Parent with more calm and confidence
Many parents leave this workshop feeling relieved to have a clearer roadmap for difficult moments.

This is for you if:

You are a parent or caregiver of a child ages 2–10, and you want:

• fewer daily power struggles
• more cooperation at home
• a stronger relationship with your child
• tools that are both kind and effective
• a calmer way to respond when emotions run high

This workshop is not about blaming parents.

It’s about giving parents the tools and support they deserve.

Meet the FACILITATOR

Corrine “Corri” Andersen, LCMHCS

PCIT Certified Therapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist. I work with parents and young children who may be experiencing frequent power struggles, big emotions, challenging behaviors, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the day-to-day realities of parenting.

Many parents come to me feeling exhausted or discouraged. They deeply love their child but find themselves repeating directions, reacting in frustration, or wondering if what they’re doing is actually helping. My goal is to provide practical, research-based tools that help parents feel more confident and supported in their role.

I specialize in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based approach that helps parents strengthen their relationship with their child while learning effective strategies to guide behavior. Through coaching and skill building, parents learn how to increase positive behaviors, reduce conflict, and create a calmer, more connected home environment.

My approach is warm, practical, and focused on helping parents feel successful. I believe that when parents feel supported and equipped with the right tools, meaningful change can happen quickly—not only in a child’s behavior, but in the overall relationship between parent and child.

It is an honor to support families as they build stronger connections and discover new ways to help their children grow and thrive.

A Final Thought

Most parents want the same things:

A peaceful home.
A strong connection with their child.
Confidence that they are responding in ways that help their child grow.

But parenting young children can be overwhelming, and many families feel stuck in patterns they don’t know how to change.

This workshop is designed to offer practical tools, encouragement, and a fresh path forward.
